Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 March 2026

1. Agreement

By using the Sidereal application or marketplace (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to these terms. The Service is operated by Groupthink Pty Ltd (ABN to be confirmed), an Australian company ("we", "us", "our").

2. Service Description

Sidereal is a macOS application for personal knowledge management and workflow automation. The marketplace allows users to discover, install, and purchase automation packs. All products are digital software delivered via in-app download.

3. Accounts

You may need a license key to access paid features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your license keys and account credentials.

4. Purchases and Payments

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), who acts as our merchant of record. By making a purchase, you also agree to Paddle's terms of service. All prices are in Australian Dollars unless otherwise stated. Paddle handles currency conversion and local tax calculation.

5. Subscriptions

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time through the Paddle customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. License Grant

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal or business purposes. You may not redistribute, reverse-engineer, or sublicense the software or any paid packs.

7. Pack Authors

Third-party packs are created by independent authors and distributed through our marketplace. We review packs for quality and safety but do not guarantee their fitness for any particular purpose. Pack authors retain ownership of their content.

8. Data and Privacy

The Sidereal application runs locally on your device. Your vault data remains on your machine and is never transmitted to our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details on what data we do collect.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the application or email.
